Over US$20,000 has been raised for the new KOTO school in Dong Nai at the KOTO Charity Dinner

Ho Chi Minh City - December 20th 2016

 The warm “KOTO charity dinner” was organised on December 20th, 2016 in support of building the new KOTO school in Dong Nai, which will provide a second training school and better accommodation for the at-risk and disadvantaged Vietnamese youths.

 

 

 

 

The dinner took place at the residence of Ms. Karen Lanyon - Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, catered by KOTO’s very own graduate chefs and current trainees, also thanks to Moet Hennessey for providing the fine wines and decoration.. Three items were auctioned in the dinner: 3 bottles of wine from Mr. Jimmy Pham, a voucher of the Six Senses Resort - Ninh Van Bay and a gold phoenix carving from Mrs. Dương Minh, which raised more than US$20,000.

 

 

 

 

 

The KOTO Foundation was honoured to have the participations of Ms. Mỹ Nguyễn & MMSoft Company, Ms. Truong Thi May (First Runner-up of Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2007), and many other guests in this meaningful event.

 

On behalf of The KOTO Foundation, Ms. Yuki Binh Dam – KOTO Marketing Manager expressed her gratitude to all the guests:

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to your generous contribution to the success of KOTO Charity Dinner. Thanks to the money raised $20,000 from the live auction and donation at the dinner, you have enable us to develop our project of building a new KOTO school in Dong Nai where our trainees will have a place to learn, live, develop and more than that it would be their second home.  We hope that you will continue to help to move forward with this school which is expected to finish by winter of 2018.”

KOTO stands for “Know One, Teach One”. It is a foundation and social enterprise, aiming to educate and empower at-risk and disadvantaged Vietnamese youths. There are now over 1000 graduates and 200 trainees and any one time.
