Position Description:

  • Sale Executive

 

Key Products and Services:

Maintain and develop new partnerships, products and services for the KOTO Enterprise to increase income to help support the KOTO Foundation. This includes:

  • Food and beverage services at KOTO Van Mieu restaurant

  • Merchandise at Dream Shop

  • Catering and Cooking Class services

  • Social Enterprise study tours

  • Joint ventures with external stakeholders

 

Objective:

  • Meet targets for enterprise sector at KOTO Hanoi.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, travel agents and business partners.

  • Expand existing and identify new income streams to support the KOTO Enterprise

  • Create strategies to attract increased customer patronage during low periods – i.e. breakfast/afternoon tea and during the quiet tourist season

  • This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing & Partnership Engagement (MPE) but also works closely with the Van Mieu Operations Manager

Reporting Structure:

  • This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing & Partnership Engagement (MPE) but also works closely with the Van Mieu Operations Manager

Key Working Relations:

  • Internal:  KOTO trainees and all KOTO staff.

  • External:  External stakeholders include customers, business partners and suppliers.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning:

  • Design sales kit and prepare example packages with costings ready to present to customers and business partners.

  • Work with Operations team and suppliers on the planning of any new products and services to ensure it aligns with KOTO’s brand and operation.  

  • Work with the Marketing Executive to produce a set of contents ready for social media channels and digital platform uses.

  • Ensure database of customers and partners is up to date and receive regular communications

  • Identify trends or preferences with existing partners and provide timely feedback to MPE and Operations teams

  • Identify new tour companies or organisations to develop partnerships with to expand our current offerings and reduce low periods in the Van Mieu Restaurant through catering, cooking classes and new product offerings such as afternoon tea.

2. Executing:

  • Work proactively with tour companies, travel agents and external stakeholders on maintaining current accounts.

  • Provide a high level of sales activity to support the MPE and Operations teams in meeting financial targets and customer satisfaction.

  • Relationship management: Initiate and maintain regular contact with individual customers, travel agents and corporate partners to build and maintain positive relationships and ongoing support. Provide timely advice to Head, MPE and Operations Manager on trends with key clients

  • Work collaboratively to achieve to achieve targets across the KOTO Enterprise - restaurant, catering, merchandise, cooking classes and services from Joint Ventures as well as the Social Enterprise Study Tour program

  • Work with HR, Training and TAS teams to advise of study tour groups, and any special requests, in a timely manner.

 

3. ​Initiatives:  

  • Identify and develop proposals and strategic plan to secure more accounts/contracts to achieve KOTO Enterprise targets, thereby supporting the KOTO Foundation training activities

4. Internal liaison:

  • As required, provide high level of support to other team members if required, particularly with key events such as the annual graduation ceremony, Dream Ride and fundraising events

5. Self:

  • Manage self to maximise results.

6. Values & Ethos:

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to meet financial targets set by management team through high-level relationship management and customer satisfaction skills

  • Report writing and analysis skills.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently but also excellent teamwork spirit.

  • Project management.

  • High level of time management and tasks prioritising skills.

  • High level of proficiency in both English and Vietnamese verbal and written skills.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Sales & Marketing, Business, Economic and/or Commerce.

  • Minimum one-year experience in a sales, business development, or sponsorship position (NGO or social enterprise experience preferred). Fresh graduates can be considered for this position if knowledge and skills are aligned.

  • Relationship management experience to ensure the requirements of both KOTO and its customers/partners are delivered.

Well-developed technical skills in the following areas:

  • IT Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Videographer/Photographer skills (is highly appreciated).

  • Well-developed communication skills (written and oral) in both Vietnamese and English.

Personal attributes:

  • High level of empathy and motivation.

  • Positive attitude and disposition.

  • Creative and proactive.

  • Passionate in social enterprises.
