KOTO honoured by Royal visit

“The Queen and the Prince Consort were very pleased to visit KOTO and impressed with the work being done in helping so many Vietnamese young people and giving them a chance of a bright future,” said Denmark’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr Peter Lysholt Hansen today.

His comments come as Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort enjoyed lunch at KOTO on Van Mieu restaurant today. The delegation included over 25 Danish dignitaries, all of whom joined the Royal couple in a three course lunch in KOTO on Van Mieu’s Graduates Gallery.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness also took the opportunity to discover more about Vietnamese cuisine as they participated in a cooking demonstration by KOTO graduate and KOTO on Van Mieu sous chef, Mr Hoang Dinh Doan.

Trainees will benefit greatly from the visit, said KOTO founder Mr Jimmy Pham, in thanking Her Majesty and His Royal Highness for their visit.

“From the second I told the trainees the Royal couple had chosen to visit KOTO, their faces lit-up and I could see they felt very proud of themselves. This is a wonderful day for KOTO and a day all the trainees, past and present, will remember forever,” said Mr Pham.
