Jetstar Pacific makes Field Trip dream a reality for KOTO Saigon trainees |
|
As the excited KOTO Saigon trainees boarded their flights yesterday, KOTO founder and KOTO International CEO Jimmy Pham thanked Jetstar Pacific for the generous donation of 21 return airfares to Hanoi, allowing the trainees to participate in their first ever holiday, KOTO Field Trip 2010.
“The happiness on the trainees’ faces when we first broke the news of the donation to them, and then as they were boarding the plane, said it all! They were touched by the generosity of Jetstar Pacific in making this dream a reality,” said Mr Pham.
The annual KOTO Field Trip is an opportunity for the trainees to visit a regional area of Vietnam, while undertaking a range of educational and team-building activities. For the KOTO Saigon trainees, the opportunity to experience new parts of their own country and see national monuments, such as Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, was beyond their wildest dreams.
“We’d all dreamt of having the whole KOTO family together and now this is possible thanks to Jetstar Pacific. On behalf of all trainees I thank Jetstar Pacific for this generous donation. We’re dedicated to empowering Vietnam’s street and disadvantaged youth with the skills to live happy and successful lives, and we’re delighted to know Jetstar Pacific shares this passion,” said Mr Pham.
“The Field Trip is enjoyable but also challenging, so the trainees get a lot out of it in terms of personal development. Many of the trainees are overwhelmed to be embarking on their first ever holiday and to have the opportunity to see new parts of their own country,” said Mr Pham.
