Volunteers from all over the world have been helping KOTO since the project began. They make a valuable contribution through sharing their knowledge and skills with trainees and local staff, but they also gain a tremendous amount from the experience. KOTO is grateful to Australian Volunteers International (AVI) Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development, Volunteer Service Overseas and Australian Business Volunteers and Volunteering for International Development for their ongoing support and supply of volunteers.
Volunteer at Street Voices
Street Voices consists of a team of dedicated volunteers who support KOTO Hanoi by fundraising and raising the profile of Vietnamese street and disadvantaged youth. At present, KOTO International only operates in Australia. If you’re interested in getting involved, email: info@streetvoices.com.au
If you’re sponsoring a trainee or making a donation, you may want to read KOTO's privacy policy that explains what we do with the information we collect.

One KOTO volunteer's story

Be a part of the KOTO Family
KOTO relies on a number of volunteers working in areas as diverse as kitchen training to marketing.
Steve joined KOTO on a two year placement as a fundraiser through volunteer organisation VSO.
"KOTO is an incredible place to work and the staff and trainees are a real inspiration.
"I consider myself very lucky to become part of the KOTO family and to see at first hand the amazing work that KOTO does.
"It’s no holiday, KOTO survives only through the dedication of its staff and I have been surrounded by colleagues who are eager to learn. They are also wholly committed to continuing to ensure this amazing organisation provides support and top quality training to the young people here.
"Volunteering overseas is not always easy. Removed from your friends and your family the day-to-day work stresses can be harder to deal with than at home but I’ve been very fortunate to work with such supportive colleagues. It has been an experience I will never forget.”
If you would like to volunteer for KOTO we are looking frequently for people with skills in the following areas: office management, accounting, English teaching, hospitality, human resources, marketing and fundraising. For more information email: volunteers@koto.com.au
