KOTO family & friends
It takes a lot of people to make KOTO successful and we wouldn't be where we are today without their help.
In Vietnam, we have a dedicated staff of 26 people, headed by KOTO's founder and director, Jimmy Pham. Staff at the training centre take care of KOTO's finances, administration and marketing, look after the needs of the trainees, and teach hospitality skills, English and life skills. The restaurant staff manages the kitchen, front-of-house and functions. They also supervise and provide on-the-job training for KOTO trainees.
There are currently several foreign volunteers at KOTO, assisting with training in kitchen and front-of-house, as well as financial, strategic planning, marketing and fundraising activities.
In Australia, Street Voices consists of a team of nine committee members from a range of different professional backgrounds who are spread across the country. These people volunteer their time to help raise funds for, and increase the profile of, KOTO.
Thank you to our friends
Jimmy Pham and the KOTO Vietnam staff would like to extend their ongoing gratitude to the individuals and organisations that support KOTO and help us to provide a brighter future for disadvantaged youth in Vietnam.
Firstly, to our sponsors who generously give up $80 each month to pay for a trainee to complete the KOTO program.
Secondly, to all the people who responded to our 'Build a New Home for KOTO' appeal and purchased bricks to ensure the continuation of the great KOTO Restaurant.
And then, a big thank you to all the organisations who have donated their time, their products and their funds to KOTO, including:
- MassMedia who support KOTO by creating and managing our website.
- Box Hill Institute for providing KOTO with its hospitality training curriculum.
- Hilton Hanoi Opera for their ongoing support of our training program and generosity in sponsoring events, including the 2005 graduation.
- United Nations International School for their partnership with KOTO, their involvement in our weekly sporting program and fundraising through the 2005 Glitter Ball.
- RQ Restaurant in Sydney for building an international relationship with KOTO, sharing their knowledge, and sponsoring two graduates to come to Australia in 2005.
- Vine Group for supporting our events with great wines and extending the KOTO family by employing graduates at their restaurant in Hanoi.
- Tiger Beer for their ongoing support of KOTO functions in Hanoi.
- Diethelm Travel for helping us with transport.
